When launching a new campaign, you might sometimes encounter an error message stating that your video URL is invalid or that the video is private. Don't worry — this is a common setup issue that can be resolved in a few simple steps.
1. Check Your Video Privacy Settings
Our platform connects real users to your videos. If your video is set to Private, our users will not be able to view it, and YouTube's API will block the integration. To resolve this:
- Go to your YouTube Studio.
- Find the video and check the visibility column.
- Change the status from Private to either Public or Unlisted.
"Unlisted videos can still receive campaigns successfully, but Private videos will always trigger a submission error."
2. Verify the URL Format
Make sure you copy the exact URL format. We support the following standard YouTube link patterns:
- Standard format:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXX - Mobile share format:
https://youtu.be/XXXXXX - Shorts format:
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/XXXXXX
&t=12s or &ab_channel=). Copying a clean link guarantees successful campaign generation.
